From the 21st of June 2022 to 23rd of September, it's officially summer! Rising temperatures, blue skies, longer days…it’s the season of great moments of happiness to be lived outdoors under the warm rays of the sun! Only one month to go for summer so you’re probably already eagerly planning your summer holidays!

ENJOY YOUR BBQ AND BREAKFAST OUTSIDE
Do you ever feel like you have more energy on days when you get outside? It’s probably not your imagination. Immersing yourself in nature is proven to increase energy levels! So spend as much time outside as you can. Why not enjoy your breakfast and BBQ on the outside terrace of your Cosy Cabin?
Listening to the birds sing and enjoying the warm morning sunrays on your face whilst having your morning coffee, sounds lovely doesn’t it? Start your day right with our delicious breakfast baskets on your outside terrace!
Summer time also means BBQ time! Did you know that each of our Cosy Cabins has a BBQ on its terrace? Get ready to show off your barbecue skills and enjoy the longer evenings outside with our BBQ basket. Finish your day slowly and enjoy a glass of wine and some delicious food with you friends or family, to grill on your private outdoor barbecue.
STARGAZING
At our forest village Alsace, you can find a stargazing bench that will add a memorable nighttime activity to your trip! Settle down and check out the wonders of the sky. Don’t worry, if it gets cold at night you can take a blanket from your cabin and make yourself comfortable!
ROASTING MARSHMALLOWS ABOVE THE FIRE
Nothing makes lifelong memories and says sun drenched summer in the outdoors like s’mores. At Nutchel, we are real marshmallow and chocolate lovers! No wonder that we love to grill s'mores over the firepit located just next to our Chalet. Get yourself a s’mores box at the Chalet and start roasting!
How to make s’mores: Toast two marshmallows over the coals to a crisp gooey state and then put them inside a cracker and chocolate bar sandwich. The heat of the marshmallow will melt the chocolate a little bit. Et voilà, enjoy your tasty treat!

Les Ardennes
Go Kayaking: Located in the small town of Chiny which lies in the province of Luxemburg, you’ll find kayaks and canoes for rental to use on the Semois river. Enjoy kayaking down the Semois with friends or family - the perfect way to take in the stunning landscapes of the valley and the Belgian Ardennes.
Have a picnic: Put on your best hiking shoes and have a picnic in the middle of the beautiful forests surrounding the domain. Everything tastes betetr outside don't you think?
Go on a bike or hike tour: Located in a beautiful lush and green area in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes, our forest village Les Ardennes offers lots of beautiful hiking and cycling paths in the surroundings. You’ll find various trails with small streams where you can dip your feet on a hot summer day!
L'Alsace
Go to the “Aventure Parc Pierre-Percée”: In Aventure Park Pierre-Percée there are plenty of activities: zipline over the lake, bungee jumping, catapult, and much more. The ideal place to spend an unforgettable emotion-packed day for all adventure-lovers!
Play Badminton: During your stay, you can go to the Chalet to borrow sports equipment such as Badminton rackets. If you haven’t played the great backyard game of badminton in a while, now is the time to remind yourself what a classic fun family game it is! Get ready for some summertime fun!
Go to the Molières waterfall: The waterfall of the Molières is the perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature. While you are in the area, you can also visit the splendid “Les jardins de Callunes”, only a few kilometers further!
Go on a bike or hike tour: Located in a hilly landscape between the Rhine river and the Vosges mountains, the area around our forest village l’Alsace offers lots of stunning bike and hike trails. Step out of your Cosy Cabin for a while and escape to the beautiful nature around you!

"Back in 2020, Julie and I spent the day at Martelange during the summer to test out a few bike trails. We took advantage of the lovely sunny day and spent some time outside after our bike ride.
